Hi, I’m CHRISTINA.
Holistic health, psychology and education have been my passion for the last 15 years.
At your core, there is a Self within you that is whole, undamaged, and quietly steady.
Beneath the surface of your thoughts and emotions, this Self remains calm, clear, and present. Around it, different parts of you have formed over time. Some protect, some carry pain, some hold longing, and some try to keep everything in balance. Each part belongs. Each part has learned its role through your lived experience.
Life shapes us in layered and meaningful ways. We adapt in order to belong, to be safe, to be loved. The patterns you carry are not mistakes. They are intelligent responses to what you have lived through. Even when they feel confusing or overwhelming, they are expressions of care.
In our work together, we do not try to fix or force change. Instead, we slow down and begin to listen. With curiosity, compassion, and respect, we create space for each part of you to be seen and understood. As these parts begin to feel safe, they soften. And from beneath them, something deeper naturally emerges. A sense of clarity. A grounded presence. An inner knowing that feels both steady and true.
This is the place I trust. In you, and in the unfolding process.
I hold a B Psych Honours degree in Psychology and Psychometry from the University of Pretoria, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from UNISA. I am a Specialist Wellness Counsellor and Psychometrist, registered with the HPCSA and the ASCHP. I am also an Integrative Enneagram Practitioner with iEQ9 and an IFS ( Internal Family Systems) trained practitioner, certified through IFSCA.
My work is rooted in a holistic understanding of wellness. Wellness counselling, as a primary health care service, moves beyond a purely medical or mechanistic model and embraces a more integrative, noetic perspective. This perspective honours the dynamic interplay between mind, body, and spirit, and understands each person in the context of their relationships, environment, and lived experience.
I am deeply passionate about supporting young people as they discover their strengths, values, and direction. Through career assessments, we explore their unique competencies, personality, and interests. This process offers clarity and confidence, empowering them to make educational and career choices that feel authentic, meaningful, and aligned with who they truly are.
At the heart of my practice is the creation of a safe, grounded, and ethically held space. Here, you are met with compassion, authenticity, and respect. Within this space, an inner connection can begin to unfold, a reconnection to the heart, to the inner child, and to the many facets of the self.
I am guided by the belief that well-being arises from the deep interconnectedness of body and mind. I hold a particular interest in the relationship between nutrition, gut health, and mental well-being, and I value complementary approaches that support balance, including mindful living, nourishing food, and gentle, natural practices.
I am inspired by the philosophy of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, particularly in his work Emile, where he reflects on the importance of remaining connected to our natural impulses and the rhythms of the natural world. His view that human beings flourish when allowed to grow in alignment with their innate nature resonates deeply with my approach. Learning and healing, in this sense, are not imposed from the outside but unfold when we are given the space to be, to explore, and to live in meaningful relationship with the world around us.
Drawing further from the work of Gabor Maté and the Compassionate Inquiry approach, as well as Richard Schwartz and the Internal Family Systems model, I believe that curiosity and self-compassion are essential to healing and transformation. When we turn toward ourselves with openness rather than judgment, we begin to understand the deeper roots of our patterns and create the conditions for integration.
Through mindful self-awareness, supportive dialogue, and intentional self-care practices such as meditation, nutrition, and reflective living, individuals can cultivate resilience, deepen self-understanding, and move toward a more integrated, balanced, and authentic way of being.
This work is an invitation to come home to yourself.

My Approach
I provide a safe, supportive space where you can connect with your higher Self….your core essence that is calm, present, and deeply aware. In Internal Family Systems (IFS), this inner state is known as Self Energy. The goal of IFS is to help you access this state, where you can experience peace, curiosity, and compassion for yourself.
Imagine a moment when you felt your best, perhaps lying under a tree on a warm summer day, feeling grateful and connected to life. In that moment, you were likely experiencing a lot of Self Energy. This energy exists in all of us; it’s the core part of you that is always calm, compassionate, creative, and connected.
IFS is a healing approach that helps you connect with the different parts of yourself…your emotions, thoughts, and beliefs. These parts may have become disconnected or burdened over time, especially from difficult experiences in childhood. Through IFS, you can reconnect with these parts using your Self Energy, much like a caring adult would comfort a child. This compassionate connection helps those parts feel seen, valued, and understood, leading to inner harmony and healing.
Some of your inner parts may hold painful memories or limiting beliefs that formed in response to challenging experiences. These parts may have felt alone, without support. In IFS, you invite your higher Self to witness and care for these parts, creating a healing process. This compassionate witnessing allows the burdened parts to release their pain, bringing their stories and feelings into harmony with the rest of your system.
My role in this process is simple: I’m a part’s detector and I help you to connect with your Self Energy or mindful presence, so you can connect with, befriend and heal the parts of yourself that are carrying distress. Together, we create a space where these parts feel safe to soften and share their experiences.
Ultimately, IFS guides you toward Self-leadership…where your higher Self leads your inner system with a sense of calmness, self-compassion, and confidence. As you nurture and listen to your inner parts, they come to trust that your Self is present and capable of leading. This results in a calmer, more confident. more curious and creative way of being in the world.

Self-compassion is an emotionally positive self-attitude that should protect against the negative consequences of self-judgment, isolation, and rumination.
Self - CuRIOSITY
